At THERIEN Martial Arts Orleans, your child will have the opportunity to learn and train in Traditional Self- Defense AND Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
Thru age appropriate classes, your child will also learn important life and leadership skills, focus and self discipline in order to build confidence and reach their full potential.

Our programs are adapted to suit everyone's need with multiple daily classes conducted by qualified instructors.
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a fun combat sport, and a self defense system that focuses on grappling and ground fighting. It teaches that a smaller, weaker person can successfully defend against a bigger, stronger opponent by using leverage and proper technique, and most notably by applying joint-locks and choke-holds to defeat them.

When it comes to martial arts, fitness and personal development, Therien Jiu-Jitsu & Kickboxing schools are synonymous with success and the development of highly qualified martial artists for over four decades.
Established in 1968 under the direction and guidance of Hanshi John Therien, the schools' instructors range from 1st DAN to 8th DAN (degree) with many continuing to teach the quality of Can-Ryu Jiu Jitsu that has earned the Therien brand the reputation of being one of the best programs of its kind around the globe.
Hanshi John Therien, together with former World Kickboxing Champion Jean-Yves Thériault, are respected internationally for their dedication and contribution to the martial arts industry and its practitioners.
Two of these practitioners, a Shihan (5th degree Red and Black belt in Can-Ryu Jiu Jitsu, 2nd degree Black belt in Goshindo Jiu Jitsu), and a Renshi ( 4rd degree red and Black belt in Can-Ryu Jiu Jitsu and 1st Degree BLACK belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu) are the directors of the Therien Orleans school.
The Therien Orleans program is one of the most effective martial arts centers in the National Capital Region. Our curriculum blends some of the most effective martial arts techniques available to make your training realistic, motivating, and exciting.
Traditional Jiu-Jitsu, Judo, Wrestling & Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Kickboxing are just some of the forms of martial arts that have influenced our dynamic and ever evolving program.
